Valuation of items

We offer different options to make the valuation of your items as easy as possible. To read more about the different options, click here.

Once we have examined the item, we will help you with an estimated market valuation.

Sales agreement

Once you have decided what you want to sell, a sales agreement is drawn up. The sales agreement states which items you have chosen to sell and our valuers will specify a market-adapted valuation. If you as a seller want to set a reserve price, which means a minimum price level for which items can be sold, this will also be stated in the sales agreement.

The sales agreement states the cost of selling through us. The sales commission, which is paid by the seller, is 18.75% including VAT on the final price. In addition to the commission, there is also a fixed fee of 80 SEK including VAT.

Cataloging

Before the auction, our valuers then make a further assessment of your item and write a descriptive catalogue text and condition report. The object is then professionally photographed in a way that highlights your object in the best possible way. By providing correct information and high quality imagery, we ensure the best possible final price.

Marketing

Finally, your items are published in our online auction catalogue, which reaches potential buyers both nationally and internationally. In addition to marketing your item on our website, other marketing channels are also used, such as Barneby's with 3.7 million visits every month, social media and traditional media.

Before our auctions, we arrange weekend viewings in our auction gallery so that your item can be showcased in the best possible way.

Each individual item is displayed online and opened for bidding for at least 7 days. Log in to follow your sales and stay updated on what's happening. After the auction is over, you will receive a preliminary sales report by email.

Payment

Payment of sales proceeds will be made within 30 days after the end of the auction and then a final sales report will also be sent to you. Payment pre-supposes that the buyer has paid and collected his item within the prescribed time.

If an item does not receive any bids, or if the bidding does not reach the predetermined reserve price, it will not be sold. The item can then be published for auction again. Before we arrange for your items to be listed again, we may contact you to arrange a possible reduction of your reserve price.
